We challenge the impossible every day.The Well Completion Systems (WCS) department develops innovative products and systems for controlling and monitoring subsea wells.The product group in Norway has a direct link to the WCS product group in the UK, as well as the global product team.The Product Engineer will be part of our Sub System Engineering Team, which is involved in early phase of projects, product definition, as well as support to aftermarket.Main tasks:Support product responsible in developing and maintenance of standard products with sufficient flexibility to cover varying customer requirements.Focus on re-use of standard products and components with associated standard documentation.Support product responsible in standard/master documentation (DBI?s, specifications, test procedures, drawings, etc).Ensure product quality by among other things evaluate all product related QN?s and participate in MRBs as required.Technically Support Engineering team to enable On-Time-Delivery with focus on correct technical solutions, test program, etc. in accordance with Engineering Execution Process (EEP).Perform optimum product design for cost efficient fabrication. Take partnership with product responsible for product cost, i.e. product design to be done in an optimum way with respect to component cost and the ability to do delivery adjustments (product configuring) at minimum time consumption.High focus on safe handling and use of the product in all phases from manufacturing, transportation, operation, maintenance/ preservation.Initiate and perform MOC?s for the products in question. Include operational experience for possible improvement of product design.Maintain and initiate further development of existing products through a controlled change process (MOC) for standard products (Product versions / releases) and in accordance to EEP. Ensure that all products are qualified and documented. This also includes evaluations of need for re-qualification after changes / adjustments of the products.
