Connection Engineer Job (1462369 + 1461622)Role Summary/Purpose:The Connections Engineer will contribute to the MCS Connection System team focused on solving mechanical challenges for the current product line and development of the next generation connection systems.Essential Responsibilities:The Connections System department has the responsibility for engineering of subsea connection solutions including design, analysis, specifications, procedures in addition to engineering support during fabrication. Engineers from our group will provide engineering support during studies, tendering and detail engineering in delivery projects and can offer good development opportunities in an engaging and challenging environment. Typical work tasks and defined responsibilities in the role: - Development of new products in accordance with the applicable guidelines and product philosophy in the department. - Product improvement and optimization, with focus on product structuring and standardization. - Produce drawing packages from concept to fabrication stage - Maintain overview on installed fleet and related legacy engineering data. - Cooperate with project technical leads and product responsible, to ensure the deliveries of products are in accordance with the project needs and company standards. - Cooperate with the applicable technical departments (e.g. materials) in order to ensure the recommended guidelines are implemented - At a later stage follow up and review/release drawings/documents by other engineers - The Connections Engineer reports to the Connection Engineers team leaderQualifications/Requirements:- Preferably some experience within the subsea intervention/connection systems - BSc, MSc, Technical institute / Certificate of apprenticeship with experience in mechanics from Subsea / Petroleum industry. Candidates with less formal education will be considered if they have solid and relevant experience. - Preferably experienced in design of offshore and/or subsea equipment. - Preferably knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes & assembly - Preferably knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerance as it relates to individual parts and overall assemblies - PC proficiency, including preferably experience in 3D CAD program ProEngineer (or similar) - Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems. - Highly proactive, accurate and detail oriented - Self motivated and ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Able to fluently speak and write English - Demonstrate ability to reprioritize workload under short deadlines in a fast-paced dynamic environment - Ansys Workbench or ProMechanica skills is a plusApply for the job at the following link Click here or contact us for more information!Arbetsplats/ort: Sandvika, NorwayVaraktighet: PermanentStartdatum: TBDJob Segments: CAD, Drafting, Energy, Engineer, Engineering, Fabrication, Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineer, Marketing, Offshore Oil, Social Media
